Below is a list of some recent improvements we have made to Career Central. We value your ideas and your feedback.

  • The destination data from the leaver’s page is now linked to the past student’s tab.
  • When you send text and emails students can now reply to them.
  • The events page is being improved. You can now select a group to invite straight from the events page without having to go to ‘groups’. You can add a single student at a later date and record if they have returned a consent form. In your groups section, you can now see the group message history.
  • Students can now move the jobs in their jobs bank to prioritise them, with the one they are most interested in on the left.
  • Under “lists” you can print a log of interviews you have had. This is useful for teacher registration. You can also print other lists.
  • On a student profile, you can see the last time that student logged in. This will soon be available in a list format.
  • The ‘jobs peek’ on your dashboard now connects to the students who are interested in that industry. Just click the wheel to see which students have chosen each industry.
  • We have improved the CV builder so it automatically populates from the pages in the ‘about me’ section (skills, personal qualities, work experience, contact details etc.) We have also added a template C.V for students to use. Rather than list the personal qualities, we have encouraged students to weave them into their personal statement.
  • In the Jobs area, when students search for jobs by Vocational Pathway they will now see their Vocational Pathways graph. These jobs are also now filtered by qualification level.
  • We have added ethnicity data as part of the groups/search page.
  • You will now see the subjects a student is currently enrolled in on their profile.
  • As part of the work experience page, students can indicate if they have a driver’s license. This will appear on their profile.
  • Lots of our job pages now have ‘just the job’ videos embedded into them. We have also repackaged the jobs pages to make them more appealing to look at and reduced the amount of text.
  • When you create an interview note with a student you now have the option to add ‘student tasks’ if there are follow up things you want them to complete. You will need to save the interview first in order to see the ‘tasks’ tab.
  • You will notice that there is a ‘job of the week’ on the student dashboard. They can click the job and be taken to more information about it.
